Chic-fil-a Nuggets (not exactly, but close)
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Water
- Chicken (cut into small, nugget-sized pieces)
- Cooking Oil
(Obvious healthy substitutions - wheat flour, olive oil)
Mix dry ingredients in a large zip-loc bag.
Beat egg with water in a medium-sized bowl, then place all chicken pieces in the mix. Let soak for 3-4 minutes.
Place the chicken pieces into the zip-loc bag with the spiced flour, and shake vigorously for 1 minute.
Heat 1/4 inch of oil in a large skillet (chose one with a lid). Place the nuggets in the oil, browning all sides.
Reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes, or until chicken is very tender. Turn occasionally.
When tender, increase heat in order to crisp the nuggets. Drain on a paper towel.
